INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -
Absentee voting is starting for Indiana’s May primary elections.
Secretary of State
Connie Lawson says voting will begin Tuesday and last through May 5, one day
before primary election day. Voters casting their absentee ballot in person
have until May 5. If they mail it in, requests for a ballot must be filed by
April 28.
In 2012, 120,000
voters cast absentee ballots. Lawson said Monday she hopes that number
increases this year. She is also encouraging voters to use new voting
centers.
