The “Ten Best Days of Summer” start at 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, when
gates for the 163rd Porter County Fair open at the fairgrounds.
The Porter County Fairgrounds are located at the northeast corner of
Division Rd. and Ind. 49, about one mile south of Valparaiso.
Admission prices this year are $6 for adults and youth 10 years or older.
Children under 10 years of age will be admitted free.
Ten-punch passes good for up to ten fair admissions are $40.
Admission charges begin at 12 p.m. each day. Visitors arriving before 12
p.m. will enter free of charge. Parking is free all day.
There are four main parking areas to the grounds. As you arrive, please
follow the instructions of traffic controllers that will direct traffic to a
Midway Carnival Rides open daily at noon. Family/Kids carnival ride
wristbands can be purchased at $15 for the hours of 12 to 6 p.m. Pay
One-Price wristbands are available at $22 for all afternoon and evening
rides and can be purchased at the Fair Office or Main Gate Ticket Window. A
one-night special wristband for all day/evening rides is available for $15
on July 18 only.
Special discounted wristbands for day care youngsters are available on all
days except Saturday and Sunday.
Wristbands are $15 if purchased at the fair office or online before July 18,
good for one day at the fair.
4-H, open class, and commercial exhibits are open 12 to 9 p.m. on all days
except for Fridays and Saturdays where they are open 12 to 10 p.m.
Themed or sponsored days include Kankakee Valley REMC Day on Friday, July
19; Farm Bureau Agriculture Day on Saturday, July 20; NWI Times Family Day
on Sunday, July 21; and Porter Regional Hospital Đ Senior Circle Center Day
on Wednesday, July 24.
July 24 is also Senior Citizens Day and Veterans/Military Personnel Day at
Admission is free for all senior citizens, veterans and members of any
branch of the Armed Forces.
Fair Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. before July 18 and are open at
all hours during the fair. The phone number for the office is 219-462-0321.
Grandstand Entertainment Ticket Information is available at the Grandstand
Ticket Office, located on the northwest corner of the Grandstands, east of
the Concessions area of the Fair.
Tickets for all shows are now on sale online at
prices do not include fair admission.

Sunday, July 21, at 7 p.m.; Bull Riding with Country Music Entertainer

Promotions on Wednesday, July 24, at 7 p.m.; Martin Xtreme Motorcycle Racing

Free entertainment acts on the fairgrounds include Bear Hollow Wood Carvers,
Swifty Swine Pig Races, Silly Safaris, Great American Duck Race, Tyzen,
Matt’s Family Jam, Kenny Ahern, Rhinestone Roper, Heller Magic, Team Rock,
Granpa Cratchet, Wild World of Animals, David Malmberg, Jerry Frasier, Rise
Above BMX Show, Daniel Lusk Magic Show, Barney of Mayberry, Statue Viva,
Harbor Lights Tribute to Doo Wop, and the Jeff Brown Trio and Orchestra.
The Porter County Fair Queen Pageant will be held on Friday, July 19, at 7
p.m. at the Park Place Pavilion. The fair will be running free trolleys
around the parking areas until 10 p.m. each night.
