Tough test: Chris Hughes, a 7th grader at St. Patrick School, had his engineering skills tested in the 4-H bridge building contest. His bridge, built of balsa wood managed to stand up to 15.5 pounds weight in a test of its structural efficiency. Hughes, a Liberty Hot Shots member, also received an A in his Forestry project, earned Reserve Grand Champion in Flowers and will compete later in the week in the Horse and Pony project.
