Early voting continues to be popular at the satellite voting center at the
Chesterton town hall.
Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer Gayle Polakowski told the Town Council at its
meeting Monday night that fully 72 voters cast ballots earlier in the day,
despite the rain.
“We’ve had more than that,” Polakowski said. “But it was raining and they
still came.”
Polakowski noted that two Saturday voting days have now been scheduled at
the Chesterton town hall: from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, and
Saturday, Nov. 3.
Early voting continues on the weekdays as well, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Mondays through Friday.
Election Day is on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
