Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will visit Porter County
again -- the second time in less than three weeks -- on Wednesday.
Clinton will bring her “Standing Up for Jobs” tour of Indiana to the Duneland
Falls Banquet Center on Ind. 149 (1100 N. Max Mochal Highway) in Portage.
Doors open at 11 a.m. The event will begin at 12:45 p.m.
Clinton gave a speech at Washington Township Elementary School on April 12,
marking the first time since 1968 that a presidential candidate has come to
Porter County.
Her Democrat opponent, Barack Obama, has visited Lake County, but has not
stopped in Porter County.
Clinton will make stops in eight Indiana cities today through Thursday. She
is holding a non-public “kitchen table conversation” in Hobart today, along
with stops in Indianapolis and Princeton. On Wednesday, she will make stops
in Portage, Lafayette and Kokomo. On Thursday, she will be in Jeffersonville
and Terre Haute.
Indiana’s primary is May 6, a week from today.
