VPD: Guns stolen in Blythe's burglary

Valparaiso Police are investigating the smash-and-grab burglary early this morning of Blythe’s Sporting Goods.

An undetermined number of guns was stolen in the burglary, police said.

According to police, at 4:19 a.m. officers responded to an alarm at Blythe’s and found on their arrival that the front glass door had been shattered. On entering, officers discovered “numerous guns missing from the store.”

Investigators are currently reviewing video surveillance footage and working with the business to determine the exact number of guns missing and their value. AFT agents are assisting the VPD with its investigation.
