A Covington, Ga., trucker died on Sunday after losing control of his rig on the Indiana Toll Road in Porter County, the Indiana State Police said.

The victim was identified as Michael P. Hall, 48.

According to police, at 9:35 a.m. Hall was westbound on the Toll Road at the 26 mile marker, around five miles west of Ind. 49, when for unknown reasons he veered off the roadway and hit a concrete bridge deck.

Hall was ejected and pinned under his box trailer, police said. He had to be extricated and was then transported to Porter Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Hallís trailer was loaded with frozen dinners, which were left strewn across the median and roadway, police said.
