A Covington, Ga., trucker died on Sunday after losing control of his rig on
the Indiana Toll Road in Porter County, the Indiana State Police said.
The victim was identified as Michael P. Hall, 48.
According to police, at 9:35 a.m. Hall was westbound on the Toll Road at the
26 mile marker, around five miles west of Ind. 49, when for unknown reasons
he veered off the roadway and hit a concrete bridge deck.
Hall was ejected and pinned under his box trailer, police said. He had to be
extricated and was then transported to Porter Regional Hospital, where he
was later pronounced dead.
Hallís trailer was loaded with frozen dinners, which were left strewn across
the median and roadway, police said.
