A semi loaded with mail rolled over on Wednesday on I-65, the Indiana State Police said.

According to police, at 10:51 a.m. Robert Boutcher, 60, of Saint John, was southbound on I-65 when an earlier crash up ahead--three miles north of the Lowell exit--prompted him to change lanes. But the semi now in front of him was traveling slower than his own and Boutcher steered left to avoid it, leaving the roadway, losing control, and hitting the barrier median cables, police said.

Boutcherís Volvo semi then returned partially to the roadway before once again entering the median and hitting the cables, causing the rig to overturn on its passengerís side, police said.

Boutcher--who was issued a citation for speed too fast for conditions--was transported to Saint Anthonyís Hospital in Crown Point with non-life threatening injuries.

Boutcher was hauling U.S. mail en route to Lafayette and then Indianapolis, police said. But no mail was lost.
