Portage tobacco shop robbed at gunpoint

Portage Police are investigating a case of armed robbery that took place Sunday at Low Bobís Discount Tobacco Store located at 3456 Willowcreek Road.

According to police, at approximately 5:50 p.m. two store employees advised police that two black male subjects entered the store and ordered them to lie face down on the ground. The employees advised that the subjects were carrying at least one handgun, took cigarettes from the shelves and cash from the register, and fled in a vehicle, police said.

Portage Police Chief Troy Williams in a news release said detectives are currently following numerous leads and are using all available resources to locate the subjects.
