A Portage man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on multiple child
pornography counts, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of
Indiana said.
On Nov. 8, Kevin Paul Brewster, 40, was charged with four counts of
producing child pornography, one of receiving, and one of possessing it, the
U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
According to the indictment, on four occasions Brewster “attempted to and
did knowingly employ, use, persuade, induce, entice, and coerce” a girl
younger than 12 “to engage in sexually explicit conduct” for the purpose of
producing a “visual depiction” of that conduct.
Count 1 is alleged to have occurred on March 19, 2012; Count 2, on March 8,
2011; Count 3, between Jan. 1, 2010, and March 8, 2011; and Count 4, between
Jan. 1, 2009, and March 8, 2011.
The indictment also alleges that Brewster both received and possessed child
pornography between Jan. 1, 2006, and May 11, 2012.
No further information was available on the investigation.
The case was investigated by the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children
Task Force, including the Portage Police Department and the FBI.
