This time fully
five dozen were found along Ind. 149, just north of Ind. 130, after a
Portage Township school bus driver reported seeing needles in the road.
The syringes
contained a brown/orange/red liquid residue. Few of them were safely capped.
On Sept. 28, an
11-year-old South Haven girl was stuck in the finger by a used syringe when,
while walking home from school, she found a sock in the middle of Old Forge
Road which proved to contain multiple uncapped hypodermic needles and a
burnt spoon.
