INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Just in the time for the winter driving season, Indiana
has launched a new Web site to keep travelers abreast of the latest road
conditions.
State highway commissioner Michael W. Reed says the TrafficWise service is
Indiana’s first advanced technology covering both rural and urban state
highways in all corners of the state.
Travelers can visit the Web site —
TrafficWise.IN.gov
—
for the latest reports on all state roads, U.S. highways and interstates in
Indiana.
Callers to the TrafficWise toll-free number, 800-261-7623, can get updated
information on winter road conditions and traffic delays, and be able to
access data on specific roadways.
Trafficwise’s Web site has links to sites providing traffic speed estimates
and snapshots from 80 traffic cameras within urban areas in Northwest and
Central Indiana.
