A Kouts man was
arrested Friday on methamphetamine charges following an undercover
operation, the Porter County Drug Task Force (DTF) said today.
Charged with
manufacturing methamphetamine, dealing a narcotic drug, and maintaining a
common nuisance was Kevin Alton Robinson, 36, of 35 E. Ind. 8, DTF said.
According to DTF,
on Friday agents with the Drug Task Force, assisted by the Indiana State
Police clandestine drug lab team, executed a search warrant at Robinson’s
residence. The warrant was the result of a two-week investigation which
began in mid-March, when an uncover DTF agent made several separate
methamphetamine purchases at the residence, DTF said.
“Evidence to
indicate methamphetamine was being manufactured was recovered during the
course of the search warrant,” DTF said.
“Indiana State
Police investigators were called in to assist with clean-up efforts,” DTF
added.
“The manufacture of
methamphetamine is highly dangerous and toxic,” DTF said. “Citizens are
encouraged to report suspected drug use, sales, or manufacturing to their
local law enforcement agency.”
