A Michigan City man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison after
pleading guilty to a charge of conspiracy to possess with the intent to
distribute heroin, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of
Indiana said.
Lawrence Zitt, 43, was also sentenced last week to five years of supervised
release, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the
Porter County Drug Task Force, the Michigan City Police Department, the
LaPorte Metro Operations Drug Task Force, and the Indiana State Police.
