An intoxicated Chicago woman stole a Milwaukee manís SUV with the manís son still in it, after a crash on Saturday on I-80/94, the Indiana State Police said.

According to police, at 5:35 a.m. Larona L. Green, 32, of Chicago, was eastbound on I-90/94, just on the other side of the Illinois state line, when she rear-ended the Milwaukee manís 2005 Chevrolet Suburban. Both Green and the Milwaukee man stopped and exited their respective vehicles, police said, but Green then climbed into the Suburban and fled the scene, with the manís 13-year-old son in the front seat.

The Milwaukee man called the Indiana State Police. Meanwhile, the boy was able to use his own cell phone to provide officers with landmarks as Green was driving, until a trooper succeeded in stopping green at the 23 mile marker in Porter County, police said.

The boy was uninjured.

Green, who registered a blood alcohol content of .119 percent, was charged with operating while intoxicated, possession of a stolen vehicle, and criminal confinement, police said. Other charges are pending in Illinois.

The investigation is continuing.
