The Indiana State Police is investigating a shooting early Saturday morning
on I-80 in Lake County.
According to police, at 3:02 a.m. a vehicle with four occupants was
westbound on I-80 near Grant Street when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up
alongside. Someone inside the dark-colored vehicle fired multiple rounds at
the first vehicle, striking one of its occupants, police said.
The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus, where the
person’s condition was not immediately known, police said.
The suspect exited I-80 onto Grant Street and has not been located.
The investigation in ongoing.
