A Hobart man was injured early this morning in a one-vehicle accident on I-94 in Porter County, the Indiana State Police said.

According to police, at 4:48 a.m. Miguel Angel Barnabas, 58, was eastbound on I-94, about half a mile west of the Portage exit, when he lost control after being cut off by another vehicle. Barnabas lost control of his 1998 Ford Ranger pickup, left the roadway, and rolled his vehicle over the concrete barrier wall separating the eastbound lanes from the westbound, police said.

Barnabas’ pickup came to rest in the westbound lanes.

Barnabas was transported to Porter Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The left lane was closed for about an hour.
