ISP again participating in Rx Take Back program

Folks looking to get rid of their old, expired, or unused prescription medications can take advantage of the 11th nationwide “Prescription Drug Take Back” initiative on Saturday, April 30, sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

The Take Back is one way of prevent prescription drug abuse and theft, through the proper disposal of medications.

And once again, the Indiana State Police is participating. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30, persons may drop off their medications at any ISP post--except at the Toll Road post.

This program is for liquid and pill medications only. Needles, new or used, will not be accepted for disposal.

This service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.
