Home burglarized in Liberty Township

The Porter County Sheriff’s Police is investigating the burglary on Monday of a residence in the 600 block of North Meridian Road in Liberty Township.

According to police, sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. someone forced open the man-door on the home’s attached garage, then forced open the interior door. Stolen from the home were 17 Invicta and three Android brand watches, a jewelry box containing miscellaneous earrings and bracelets, approximately 80 tablets of a prescription sleep aid, and a wallet containing a checkbook and credit card.

Police estimated total loss and damage at $5,055.
