Collapsed: The National Weather
Service says that Wednesday’s tornado had weakened from an EF2 to an EF1 by
the time it hit the property of Rod and Kathi Corder in the 1400 block of
100E. Tell that to the Corders, whose cinder-block garage was destroyed by
the twister. Oddly, its roof remains intact but the cinder-block
construction beneath the roof was toppled as though made of Legos. (Tribune
