Additional charges have been filed against a convicted sex offender—arrested
in January on charges of attempted sexual misconduct and sexual misconduct
with a minor—after Chesterton Police said that images of child pornography
were found on computers seized from his residence.
Johnnathan Adam Fuller, 37, with a listed address of 800 Ind. 212, Lot A1,
in Michigan City, was charged on May 10 with one count of child
exploitation, a Class C felony punishable by a term of two to eight years;
and 14 counts of possession of child pornography, a Class D felony
punishable by a term of six months to three years.
Det. Jamie Copollo told the Chesterton Tribune today that the
additional charges were filed after the Indiana State Police conducted a
forensic examination of Fuller’s computers.
Fuller—also known as Geoffrey Jacobs—was originally charged on Jan. 13 with
attempted sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class B felony punishable by a
term of six to 20 years; sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class C felony;
and child solicitation, a Class D felony.
Fuller is being held without bond at the Porter County Jail.
Fuller was convicted of sexual battery in Porter County in June 1998,
sentenced to a term of six years, two of them suspended, and released in
August 1999.
