The two bodies
found inside a burned Honda Civic in rural Boone Grove on Saturday, March 2,
have been identified as those of Thomas Grill, 18, and Molley Lanham, 19,
Porter County Sheriff’s Police said.
According to the
PCSP, based on DNA submitted by immediate family members and by DNA obtained
from the deceased, authorities have confirmed the identities of the bodies
to be a match for the Lake County teens who were last seen Feb. 25.
The bodies found
inside the burned vehicle are, therefore, confirmed to be Grill and Lanham,
and the immediate family of both deceased have been notified by detectives,
the PCSP said.
PCSP report the
cause of death for Grill is still pending further medical examination.
The bodies were
found after an anonymous source led authorities to the scene and provided
information that later led to the arrest of Center Township teen Connor
Kerner, 17, who is charged with murder and suspected of killing Lanham and
Grill in a drug deal gone bad.
