Burns Harbor Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed the Luke’s One Stop at U.S. Highway 20 and Ind. 149 on Saturday, Sept. 17.

According to police, at 5:30 a.m. a male subject entered the store, brandished a dark semi-automatic handgun, and held it to the clerk’s head. He then fled the business—with “an undetermined amount of U.S. currency”—and was last seen westbound on U.S. 20 in a dark blue Ford Escort occupied by another person.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’ 9’’ to 5’ 11’’ in height and 165 to 175 pounds in weight, wearing a black hoodie with Asian symbols on the chest area.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call the Burns Harbor Police Department at 787-9411.
