A 28-year-old South Haven woman reported being sexually assaulted on Saturday in her home on Oxbow Road, the Porter County Sheriff’s Police said.

According to police, at 4 p.m. an unknown male forced his way into the woman’s residence after she answered her door, then sexually assaulted her.

The woman described the suspect as a white male subject, 25 to 30 years of age, 6’ 0’’ in height with a thin build, with brown hair and green eyes. He was dressed in a navy blue shirt and pants with a brown belt. The woman advised investigators that he looked to be a utility worker.

Officers canvassed the area, police said, and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Wiseman at the PSCP at 477-3000.
