49 crash causes injuries today: A three-vehicle crash at Gateway Boulevard and Ind. 49 this morning resulted in at least two people taken to Porter Valparaiso Hospital campus for injuries. Authorities said one of the people in the Oldsmobile Eighty Eight (shown in photo) had to be extricated. Another vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe, sustained heavy front-end damage. The third vehicle involved was a Pontiac V6, which appeared to be westbound on Gateway Boulevard. Chesterton Police and Chesterton Fire Department, along with the Porter Emergency Medical Services, responded to the scene.
