Lawrence G. “Larry” Cogdill, age 89 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 in Loma Linda, CA.

He was born on August 15, 1930 in Golconda, IL, to Otho and Harriet (Hutchinson) Cogdill.

Larry is survived by three sons, Wil Cogdill, Larry (Sandy) Cogdill, Tony (Deanna) Cogdill; brother, Kenneth (Lucille dec.) Cogdill; two granddaughters, Katie (Jason) Bohm, Nicole Cogdill; six grandsons, Mark (Brittany) Cogdill, Austin Cogdill, Christopher (Kourtney) Cogdill, Ryan (Jennifer) Cogdill, Anthony Webster, William Keegan; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Christine (Butler) Cogdill; his parents, Otho and Harriet; and brother, Arnold Cogdill.

Larry was a United States Army Veteran who served in Germany during the Korean War era. He was a Certified Electrician and worked for Canteen Food & Vending for 23 years. Larry, who grew up on a farm, had a lifelong passion for farming and raising horses.

Funeral Ceremony will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020, at 12:00 p.m., at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
