Service Wednesday for Perry' Bill' William Ratliff

Perry “Bill” William Ratliff, age 80 of Chesterton, IN passed away on December 14, 2018.

He was born on February 25, 1938, in Denver, CO, to Oather and Irene Ratliff, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Williams) Ratliff of Chesterton, IN; his daughter, Katherine (Bert) Miller of Chesterton, IN; his grandchildren: Alexandra (Nicholas) Guzik of Franklin, IN, Madelaine Miller of Chesterton IN, Mary Miller of Indianapolis, IN and Albert (Kirstyn) Miller of Valparaiso, IN; his great-grandsons, August and Alden Guzik of Franklin, IN; and by his half-sister, Carolyn (Allen) Wagner of Chesterton, IN.

Bill is also preceded in death by his brothers, Ray E. Ratliff, Sr. on June 10, 1987, and Jack E. Ratliff on November 9, 2001.

Bill was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church as well as a member of the Dunes Masonic Lodge #741 F&AM. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and creating works of art with stained glass that he shared with his family.

He spent his retirement years watching his grandchildren’s school and sporting events and loved every minute of it. He will especially be remembered by friends and family for his kindness and willingness to help anyone in need.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 1 p.m., at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, IN with Father Jerry Schweitzer officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until time of service, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Dunes Hospice in Valparaiso, Indiana, or to a charity of your choice.
