Sandra Lee
Hernandez, age 71, of Burns Harbor, IN, formerly of Valparaiso, IN, and Las
Vegas, NV, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018.
She was born in
Valparaiso, IN, on November 12, 1946, to Jack and Norma J. (Hill) Bradshaw.
Sandy is survived
by her loving husband, Ron Hernandez; mother, Evelyn Bradshaw; children,
Tammy (husband, Jesse) Pliske, Howard “Bubba” (wife, Kim) Wallace, Susan
VanHorn, Paula (husband, Mark) Hoover, and David (wife, Nicole) Hernandez;
siblings, Sue Bradshaw, Reva Bradshaw, David Moser, Cindy Siewert, and Doug
(wife, Connie) Moser. She is also survived by many beloved grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and
nephews, and loving friends and extended family.
She is preceded in
death by her father Jack Bradshaw Sr.; biological mother, Norma J. Bradshaw;
brothers Jackie Bradshaw Jr. and Bruce Moser, and sister-in-law Cathy
Gonzales.
Sandy enjoyed her
many years being a nanny for the family of Dr. Andrea Pernell and Ed and Won
Dolegowski. She volunteered at Derfelt Senior Center and the Women’s Shelter
during her time in Las Vegas. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary
Post 988 in Valparaiso, IN, and she enjoyed spending time with her family
and traveling with her husband Ron. Sandy was a phenomenal person who
touched many lives, she was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply
missed.
A Memorial
Gathering for friends and family will be held on Friday, May 18, from 4:00
p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway,
Chesterton, IN.
