Georgia Ruth Proper passes away

Back To Front Page

Georgia Ruth (Stewart) Proper passed peacefully at home, to be with our Lord, on Friday, December 8, 2017.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard William Proper, and their three children Rich Proper, Sherril Rasmussen, and Robert Proper, along with six grandchildren; Jensine, Jaela, and Jadon Rasmussen; and Alex, Ashleigh, Alleigh Proper.

Georgia was born at home to her parents George Alfred and Ruth Sara (Peterson) Stewart on January 25, 1940, in Bowdon, ND.

Richard and Georgia met while attending Chesterton High School, Chesterton, IN. The two married in 1960. They relocated their family to Phoenix, AZ, in 1981. Richard and Georgia retired in Sun City, AZ. They enjoyed spending time with their grown family and grandchildren. Georgia with all of her physical limitations was a lesson to all that strength comes from within, and proved stronger than anything she faced.

A Celebration of Life dinner is planned for Saturday, January 13, 2018.
