Celebration of Life for Lilah Louise Ling, age 75

Lilah Louise Ling, 75, of Chesterton, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018. She died peacefully and quietly surrounded by loving family.

She was born July 29, 1943 to Henry Sr. and Louise Wilson from Valparaiso IN.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years to Paul Ling Sr., and her three children, Teresa Danskin, Paul Ling Jr., and Ricky (Kim) Ling. She leaves behind grandchildren Andrew (Carissa) Underwood, Candance Arvin, Sarah and Madison Ling, and Sommer Topolski. Great-grandchildren, who she adored and loved spending time with, Dante and Dakota Arvin, Ogden and Brieanna Underwood. She leaves behind brothers Roy (Cheryl) Wilson from Valparaiso, Don Wilson in Florida, and Pat (Kurt) Thayer in New Jersey. Preceding her in death were her brother Henry Wilson Jr. and Marylin Hoeckelberg.

She was retired from Duneland Schools after many years of cooking and baking. She was a huge Cubs fan and never missed watching a single game. She loved playing bingo, crocheting, and being in her garden with all her flowers. She loved country music and watching Christmas movies any time of the year.

In lieu of services, there will be a Celebration of Life held on Tuesday, December 4, at AJ's in the banquet room, from 4-7 p.m.
