established herself in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Community as a teacher for
the next 34 years. In addition, she taught at the Portage Adult Education
Center, helping students earn GED’s, was very charitably active in the local
community and was a longtime member of LULAC Duneland Council No. 5016. Her
hobbies included the Theater Group, Bunco Babes, Friday night movies, NCIS
and Law & Order, and much more, but most importantly she enjoyed spending
time with loved ones Ð her husband, daughters, family and friends Ð and
playing with her grandchildren. Vickie loved others unconditionally and made
everyone feel they belonged. Her humor, truth, compassion, and fun-loving
spirit is a true example on how to love life. She was passionate in every
