Mary Lou Price, age 77 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Wednesday, January
23, 2013, at Porter Regional Hospital.
She was born on May 4, 1935, in Gary, Ind., to Walter Jr. and Ruth Belle
King both of whom preceded her in death.
On June 4, 1955, at the Grace Methodist Church of Glen Park, Ind., she
married George I. Price, who survives in Chesterton.
Also surviving are her son Russell (Naty) Price of Lancaster, Penn., and
three grandchildren, Katy, George and Russell.
Mary Lou also has three sisters Elsie Nadeau of Portage, Ind., Jean (Hubbie)
Gulley of Hobart, Ind., and Joan Potts of Rydal, Georgia, and many nieces
and nephews.
Mary Lou was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Chesterton.
She was very active in her church: the Joy Circle, taking part in Bible
studies and small groups within the church, on the Staff Parish Committee,
teaching Sunday School and planning for the curriculum, teaching Bible
School and helping bake all the wonderful cookies for the Cookie Walk. She
was employed for 12 years in customer service by Jay-Mar Ruby, now HMS.
There will be a Memorial Service for Mary Lou at a later date. Memorials may
be given to the American Heart Assoc., 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite 1500,
Chicago, IL.
