Liam T. Wuenn, 14 month old son of Todd and Sara (Whitcomb) Wuenn, passed
away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Ill.
He was born October 28, 2011 in Valparaiso, Ind.
Liam is survived by his parents, his sister Emily, paternal grandparents
Debbie Ribar of Chesterton, Ind. and William Wuenn of Hobart, Ind., maternal
grandparents Gary and Cindy Whitcomb of Valparaiso, Ind., great-grandparents
Diane and Gordon Hamilton of Chesterton, and Betty Whitcomb of Valparaiso.
Also surviving him are his uncles Aaron Whitcomb of Valparaiso, Scott Wuenn
of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ted Ribar of Kentucky.
Preceding him in death were his great-grandmothers Luella Wuenn and Alta
Clouse, great-grandfathers John Whitcomb, Floyd Wuenn, and Edward Myers.
Liam is a member of Southpoint Baptist Church in Crown Point. While in the
hospital, he had fun stealing the housekeeper’s brooms and signs or playing
peek-a-boo in the nurse’s station.
Liam had great times sitting in the window sills at the hospital with his
sister gazing over the “Big City” watching the action outside. He could
always be found wearing his mardi gras beads that he loved or pushing his
broom.
At home, he loved riding around in the family golf cart or pulling the cat’s
tail.
Funeral services for Liam will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, at the
Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso, Ind. Pastor Jon Cuozzo
will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Valparaiso.
