Charmaine Mary Gardner, 57, Porter, Indiana, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 5:20 p.m. in Franciscan St. Anthony Health, Michigan City, Ind.

She was born October 5, 1955 in Michigan City, Indiana to Grover and Clara (Piotrowski) Sischo.

On February 2, 1974 she married Dennis Gardner, Sr. who survives in Porter, Ind.

Also surviving are a son, Dennis Gardner, Jr. of Chesterton; mother, Clara Sischo of The Pines, Ind.; sister, Theresa Chaddock of Beverly Shores, Ind.; six brothers, Robert (Barb) Sischo of Hamlet, Ind., Kenneth Sischo of The Pines, Ind., Tommy (Jane) Sischo of LaVergne, Tenn., Timothy (Jeannie) Sischo of Otis, Ind., Michael Sischo of Nashville, Tenn., and Rick (Amy) Sischo of The Pines, Ind.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her beloved dog, Pooh Bear.

She was preceded in death by a son, James "Jamie" Gardner and her father, Grover Sischo.

Charmaine retired from Horizon Awning and enjoyed playing pool. She loved children, family gatherings and animals.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Ind., with Pastor Jon Pairitz officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
