Clarence R. Grott, age 73, of Westville, Ind., passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013.

He was born May 10, 1939 in Michigan City, Ind., to Edward and Martha Grott.

Clarence is survived by his children, Stephani Grott of Westville, Ind., Phillip Grott of Atlanta, Ga., Marcia (Jerry) Brinsfield of LaPorte, Ind., seven grandchildren and one great-grandson, as well as his brother Edward John Grott and sister Ruth Ann Grott, both of Westville, Ind.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #21 in Westville, F.O.P. Dunes Lodge #75, and the St. Joseph Young Man’s Society. Clarence was also a Registered Nurse and had a Ph.D. in Psychiatry.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 19, at 1 p.m., at the American Legion Post #21 in Westville.
