Bernice M. Erow, age 86, of Milford, Ind., passed away at Avalon Springs Health Facility in Valparaiso, Ind., on February 22, 2013.

She was born in Argos, Ind., on July 9, 1926 to Burris and Margaret Meiers Brockus, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was married to Richard Erow, Sr., on October 5, 1944, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by four children, Richard Erow Jr. (Susan) of Chesterton, Ind., Alan Erow (Judy) of Michigan City, Ind., Marilyn Staton (Victor) of Leesburg, Ind., Teri Rumsey (Donald) of Three Rivers, Mich., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving sisters are Mary Batcho of Plymouth, Ind., and Evelyn Bowman of Sturgis, Mich.

Siblings preceding her in death were brothers Burt, Robert and Lester Brockus and sisters Harriet Rosebaum, Geraldine Roahrig, Julia Street and Dorothy Arndt, and a great-grandson, Kevin Erow.

She was a homemaker and she and her husband resided previously in Mishawaka, Ind., Three Rivers, Mich., and Milford, Ind. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw, Ind.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind.
