Anthony “Tony” Pogue, age 67, of Chesterton, Ind., formerly of Kingston,
Tenn., and Hammond, Ind., passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Porter
Hospital, Liberty Twp.
He was born on February 10, 1946, in Kingston, Tenn., to Raymond and Dorothy
(Luffman) Pogue, who preceded him in death.
On June 14, 1975, he married Clementine “Tina” McDonald, who survives in
Chesterton, Ind.
He is also survived by his children, Kristin of Valparaiso, Ind., Ryan, of
Chesterton, and Kourtney of North Hollywood, Calif. He is also survived by
his sister Faye Ragan, of McLeansboro, Ill.
Tony was retired from LTV/US Steel East Chicago Tin Mill, on October 31,
2003, with 30 years of service.
Tony was a car enthusiast. He liked watching Sox and Bears games. He loved
his family and going to dinner with family and friends. He also loved the
Indiana Dunes.
There will be no visitation at this time. A memorial service at the Indiana
Dunes is being planned for this summer. Cremation is being handled by the
White-Love Funeral Home in Chesterton, Ind.
Memorials may be made to the Independent Cat Society in Westville, Ind., or
to the Porter County Animal Shelter in Valparaiso, Ind., or a no-kill
shelter of your choice.
