Angela Marie Katzelis, age 46 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013.

She was born November 9, 1966 in Valparaiso, Ind., to David and Priscilla (Surgener) Gorrasi.

On September 9, 1989 she married Randall Katzelis who survives along with their children Taylor Breann Katzelis, Logan Christopher Katzelis and Madison Delaney Katzelis, all of Chesterton. Also surviving are her father, David Gorrasi of Cincinnati, Ohio, step-brothers David and Matt Gorrasi and brother, Toby (Angie) Barnes of Porter, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her mother Priscilla Barnes in 1994.

Angela graduated from Portage High School in 1985, attended Purdue and Valparaiso Universities for her B.S. in Nursing and was currently working on her M.S.N. through the University of Cincinnati. Angela was a longtime Nurse at Porter Memorial Hospital and member of Heartland Christian Center.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, Ind., with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 21, from 4 – 9 p.m., at Moeller Funeral Home.
