Services Saturday for Lawrence Cline

Lawrence “Larry” J. Cline, age 67, formerly of Chesterton, Ind., passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014, in Valparaiso, Ind.

He was born on March 5, 1947, in Valparaiso, to Roland V. and Charlotte (Jones) Cline, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather J. (Chris) Chambers; sister, Debbie Ita; step-brother, Charlie (Gwyn) Cline; step-sister, Laura Cline and step-mother, Luella DeWulf.

Larry was a Chesterton High School graduate and proud Eagle Scout. He was member of the U.S Army and a Vietnam Veteran. He was an apprentice carpenter with his father’s company, RV Cline Construction in Chesterton, Ind. He became a proud union carpenter working in Indiana and Illinois. He was a VFW member and active in the Chesterton Lion’s Club and a past president.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Chesterton First United Methodist Church, 434 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, with Pastor Scott Tyring officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial of cremains will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
