Samuel F. Bianchi, age 64 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Monday, November
4, 2013, at his home.
He was born August 18, 1949, in East Chicago, Ind., to Samuel F. and Cecelia
He was married on July 26, 1969, in Munster, Ind., to Cynthia M. Huber.
Samuel is survived by his wife Cindy; daughter Laura (David) Bianchi-Eikenmeyer
of Chicago, Ill.; son Jeffrey (Liza) Bianchi of Cedar Lake, Ind.; mother
Cecelia Bianchi; grandson Erik Eikenmeyer; sister Patricia (Robert) Bianchi-Saroli
of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; nephews Harris (Kristin) Huber and Hamilton (Leigh)
Huber; mother-in-law, Irene Huber of Munster, Ind., and brother-in-law, Bill
Huber of Birmingham, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Sam was a loving family man and an avid golfer who loved to play golf with
his friends and business associates. He was owner and CEO of Refractory
Service Corporation of East Chicago, Ind., a company he founded in 1979. He
was a member of the U.S. Army Airborne Reserve for six years. He was a
member of the Naples National Golf Club and Sand Creek Country Club and a
former member of the Crisis Center Board of Directors. He was a member of
St. Patrick Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 7, at 11:00
a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton, with
Father James Meade officiating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m., with a wake service scheduled at 6:30 p.m., at Edmonds & Evans Funeral
Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind.
