Marie Francois Theresa Agieyeff dies at age 85

Marie Francois Theresa Garno (Garneau) Agieyeff, age 85 of Westville, Ind., passed away Monday, September 9, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 13, 1928 in Adams, Massachusetts, the daughter of Frank and Marie (Cazelais) Garno.

On April 3, 1948 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Otis, she married Fiedot Agieyeff Jr., who survives in Westville.

Also surviving are her daughters, Ingrid (Michael) Long, of Westville, and Candy (Tom) Sullivan of Sedona, Ariz., one granddaughter, Josephine (James Earl) Kaufman, and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Kaufman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Beatrice Boisvert.

Marie was a crossing guard with the City of Chicago and was a member of St. Patrickís Catholic Church in Chesterton, Ind.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at Westville Cemetery, Westville, Ind. Deacon Nicholas Jurasevich officiating.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held Sunday, September 15, at 1:00 p.m. at Ingridís home in Westville. To make a reservation for the luncheon, please email Imlong226@comcast.net, by 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013.

Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St., Westville, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the LaPorte or Porter County Animal Shelters.
