Janice Coslet dies at 74

Former Chesterton resident Janice M. Coslet, 74, of Knox, Ind., died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at home.

She was born on June 30, 1939, in Gary, the daughter of Chester and Violet (Fay) Pangburn.

She is survived by her daughters, Terry Lagenour, Carole (Lagenour) Dunn, Tammie (Lagenour) Suffern, and Cathy Lagenour; a son, G. Andrew Coslet; her sisters, Janet (Koch) Shields, Pamela (Pangburn) Horlacher, Linda (Pangburn) Utterback, and Susan (Pangburn) McIntyre; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet; parents, Chester and Ruth Pangburn; sisters Jacqueline (Pangburn) Holdren, Andrea Koch Lee, and Carole Pangburn; a brother, Dave Koch; and a son, Michael D. Coslet.

Janice had a long career for the Duneland School Corporation, loved working and enjoyed arts and crafts, was an avid cat and dog lover, and most importantly loved her children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After Janice retired, she moved from Chesterton to Knox.

A private family graveside service will be held at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.

Arrangements are being handled by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway in Chesterton.
