Jacques 'Jack' Campbell services Wednesday

Jacques “Jack,” “Jocko,” Bailey Campbell, age 76, of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014.

He was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Gary, Ind., to Theodore and Lois (Dingman) Campbell.

He was married on January 16, 1970, in Chesterton, Ind., to Mary Ellen Kusch.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Campbell of Chesterton; his son, Jacques Campbell II of New Carlisle, Ind.; daughter, Sharon Hoskison of Plano, Texas; brother, Thomas Campbell of Portage, Ind., and grandchildren, Bailey, Alex, Aryan and Jackson Campbell and Benton and Lucas Hoskison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry and William Campbell; and sisters, Donna Tiemann and JoAnn Seaman.

Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a conductor and retired from the South Shore Railroad. Jack enjoyed sports and was an IHSAA high school baseball and softball official, NSA and ASA Softball official, and basketball referee. He was a member of the American Legion Post 37 in Michigan City, Ind.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m., until the time of service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charity of donor’s choice.
