Patricia M. Chelf, age 80, of Portage, Ind., passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012.

She was raised in Chesterton and resided in Portage for over 60 years. Pat worked for many years as a regional manager for Carson Pirie Scott Restaurants. She then went back to school and earned an Associates Degree in Fashion Design, and went on to open her own business.

Patricia is survived by her four sons, Brian (Judith) Chelf of Carpentersville, Ill., Robert Chelf of Portage, James (Deb Deardurff) of Valparaiso and Daniel (Melinda) Chelf of Sarasota, Fla.; one daughter, Patricia “Trish” (John) Mikaitis of Portage; son-in-law, John Siroky of Portage; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter (Judith) Devine of Myrtle Beach, So.Carolina and a sister, Alice Fleming of LaPorte, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; daughter Michelle Siroky; her parents, James and Mable Devine; and brother and sister James and Victoria Devine.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
