Thomas May service Tuesday, Dec. 11

Thomas N. May, age 61, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, at 10:49 p.m. in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City.

Thomas was born August 4, 1951 in Michigan City, Ind., to the late Frank P. and Rosemary (Tobin) May.

On July 26, 1986 in Michigan City, Ind., he married Kathleen Sullivan, who survives in Michigan City.

Also surviving are his mother, Rosemary May, daughter Melanie May; two sons, Thomas N. May, II and James P. May, all of Michigan City; step-father-in-law, Salvador Villaneuva of The Pines, Michigan City; father-in-law, Leonard (Helen) Sullivan of Chesterton, Ind.; mother-in-law, Gerda Baker of Mission, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank P. May, Jr.

Tom was a mechanic at S&H RV Center, Michigan City. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. He enjoyed hanging out with his children, riding his Harley-Davidson and had any tool that could aid him in repairing any vehicle no matter the problem.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 So. Woodland, Michigan City, Ind., with the Rev. Frank Torres, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City.
