Thomas E. Pratt, age 84 of Chesterton, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Porter Hospital.

He was born on July 27, 1927 in Liberty Township to Carter M. and Mary Wilscam Pratt both of whom preceded him in death.

On September 5, 1948 in California he married Esther Condensa Pratt, who survives in Chesterton.

Tom is also survived by his children Leslie Ann Elliott of California, Kevin Pratt of Chesterton, Craig Pratt of California and Barry Pratt of California; grandchildren Kyle, Courtney, Ryan, Kayla, Carter, Rachel, Jeremy and Drew; and great-grandchildren Kameryn, Faith and Liam.

Tom was preceded in death by his brother Edward Pratt.

He worked for the government as an electronic technician. Tom was past Grand President and member for over 60 years of YMI, a men’s Catholic organization and a member of Forresters. He enjoyed collecting lighthouses and clocks.

No services are planned per the family’s request.
