Maria "Mary" Trujillo Martinez, 89, of Brighton, Colorado and formerly of
Chesterton, Indiana, passed away March 7, 2012 in Brighton, Colorado.
She was born May 10, 1922 in Fort Garland, Colorado, to Lucas and Enafelia
Trujillo. She married Irwin Donald Martinez, Sr. on April 15, 1950, in
Aurora.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Tomas) Fuentes of Miami, Fla.;
James L. (Toy) Corbett of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Frank L. (Theresa)
Martinez of Chesterton, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Seltenright of San Diego, Calif.,
Irwin D. (Janet) Martinez, Jr. of Craig, Colo., Robert D. Martinez of
Brighton, Judith Y. (Calvin) Ingram of Phoenix, Ariz., and Richard D.
(Denise) Martinez of Fountain; brothers, J. R. Samuel (Dorothy) Trujillo,
Benino J. (Alice) Trujillo and sister, Honora Romero, of Brighton; 25
grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970, her granddaughter,
Bernadette D. Ingram, her parents, and brothers Perfecto "Pepo" A. Trujillo,
Ramon B. Trujillo, Guillermo "Willie" J. Trujillo, Miguel "Mike" Trujillo
and Lucas P. Trujillo.
Graveside service was March 13, at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
