Linda M. (Newton) Clark, age 65 of Portage, Ind., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at her home.

She was born December 8, 1946 in Gary, Ind.

Linda was married to David Clark, who survives in Portage.

She is also survived by her mother, Virginia Newton of Portage; son, David “Scott” Clark (Stacy) of Portage; daughter, Kimberley Guill (Toby) of Chesterton; brother, Gerald Newton (Diane) of Portage; sister, Sherry Hamilton (Chuck Livingston) of Portage; grandchildren, Jason Clark, Courtney Clark, Allison Graveline, Allison Clark, Zachary Guill, Tricia Graveline, Meagan Clark, Mady Clark, Peyton Clark and Matthew Clark; a niece and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father in law, Peyton Clark.

Linda was a lifelong area resident. She worked in Retail Sales for Meijers and Interstate Brands. Linda was on the board of the Portage Junior Miss and was an avid Cubs and IU fan. She also enjoyed traveling and supporting Portage athletics.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, Ind., with Toby Guill officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory, Portage, Ind.
