The memorial and celebration of life for Leona (Lee) Marie Waugh-Miller is
set for April 14, 2012, not May as stated in the original publication of her
Waugh-Miller, age 71, of Eugene, Oregon, formerly of Chesterton, Ind. passed
away March 17, 2012 of pancreatic cancer.
Leona was born July 31, 1940 to Ethel (Barlow) and William Waugh.
She graduated from Chesterton High School in 1958 and married Richard J.
She moved to California and later divorced. Lee returned to Chesterton in
1979 and worked at Sand Creek Golf Club and Westchester Middle School. She
moved to Eugene, Oregon, in 1989 to be closer to her children. There she
worked at Helms Chiropractic and retired in 2006.
She married the love of her life, Roger Miller, July 29, 1993.
Surviving are Roger Miller; children Deborah Sarris, Tamara (Michael) Wiles,
Jacqueline (Brian) O'Neill, Don Ruhe, Rick Ruhe, Carrie (Larry) Ruhe, Jenn
(Chad) Kirkland-Ekelund, Elaine (Kip) Canaday, Colleen (Jim) Howley, Ann
(Jeremy) Haas; 26 grand-children; three great-grandchildren; a brother,
William (Judy) Waugh of Prescott Isle, Wisc. and sister, Adele (Carl)
Lundahl of Valparaiso, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Joshua.
