Dean Morgan, 56, of Petersburg, Illinois, and Orosi, Costa Rica, formerly of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2012.

He was born December 18, 1955, in Anderson, Ind., to Mary Ruth (nee Richardson) and Richard Morgan.

In July, 1990, he married Jodi Hunt Morgan in Texas, who survives.

Dean is also survived by his sons Luke of Bloomington, Ind., and Nic of Petersburg, Ill., brother Kyle Morgan of Indianapolis, Ind. and several cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dean lived and worked in the Duneland area for several years with Focus Enterprises. He enjoyed growing grapes and making wine, and was a Master Gardener. His coffee farm in Costa Rica brought him great joy. Many will remember Dean for his omelet bar at the Chesterton Debate Tournament in Luke’s years at CHS.

A Gathering of Friends to celebrate Dean’s life is planned at the Footlight Theater in Indianapolis on Monday, April 23, at 1 p.m.

Interment will be at a later date.
